Speaking in a recent podcast, Shinde said, “Whatever came on record at that time, That’s what he said. It was his party (Congress) that told him that saffron terrorism was happening. When asked at that time, he said saffron terrorism… it was wrong.” Shinde in this podcast, December 2001 Jihadi Afzal Guru, who was hanged and convicted of the Parliament terrorist attack, was also seen avoiding calling him a terrorist.
The myth of how big a conspiracy the ‘Hindu/Saffron terrorism’ theory was is once again revealed by a claim by former Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. Speaking in a recent podcast, Shinde said, “Whatever came on record at that time, he said only that. It was his party (Congress) that told him that saffron terrorism was happening. When asked at that time, he said saffron terrorism… it was wrong.” In the same podcast, Shinde was also seen avoiding calling Jihadi Afzal Guru, convicted and hanged in the December 2001 Parliament terror attack, a terrorist.
It is not hidden from anyone that in Congress the party means the Gandhi family (Sonia-Rahul-Priyanka). This thinking is the product of that mentality in which the illusion of ‘Hindu terrorism’ was created to directly or indirectly justify Islamic terrorism. The top leadership of Congress along with leftists and fundamentalist Muslims were also involved in this conspiracy.
Shinde’s recent confession also suddenly brings to mind the bitter truth as to why India, despite being adorned with qualities like knowledge, science and bravery, came under the rule of Muslims for about 600 years in the medieval period and then under the British for 200 years. History is witness to the fact that if Jaichand had not betrayed Prithviraj Chauhan due to personal grudge, the foreign invader Muhammad Ghori would not have won. Similarly, if Shah Waliullah had not invited Afghan Abdali to India against the Marathas and if Mir Jafar had not deceived Siraj-ud-Daula in the battle of Plassey, then the British Empire probably would not have been established in India. The same dark history was repeated during the Congress led UPA (now INDIA) tenure.
Due to personal, political and ideological opposition, the term ‘Hindu/Saffron Terrorism’ was coined to tarnish India, Hindu Samaj, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, BJP and other organizations in the world. Its roots lie in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts (12), in which 257 innocent people were killed. Then the then Congress Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sharad Pawar, to divert attention from the religious identity and objective of the terrorists, fabricated the lie that the ’13th’ blast had taken place near the mosque. This was an attempt to directly or indirectly link Hindus with terrorism. This thinking was taken forward by Rahul Gandhi along with P. Chidambaram and Sushil Kumar Shinde as Union Home Ministers during the UPA era (2004-14).
The limit was reached when Congress leader Digvijay Singh accused Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh of being behind the horrific Mumbai 26/11 terrorist attack in 2008. Even, Digvijay had tried to link the death of the then Mumbai Anti Terrorist Squad chief Hemant Karkare, who was shot by Jihadis in the same attack, with Hindu organizations. In this regard, articles were even published in many newspapers by Pakistani terrorists on the basis of sacred Kalava/Mauli in their hands. Imagine, what would have happened if terrorists Kasab and David Headley (Dawood Syed Geelani) were not captured alive?
In reality, it is a ‘secularist’ (including ‘left-liberal’) conspiracy to brand the victims of violence-hatred as ‘criminals’ and the culprits as ‘innocent’. On 14 February 1998, there were 12 serial bomb blasts in Coimbatore, in which 58 innocent people died. The main target of the terrorists was top BJP leader LK Advani, who was to come to Coimbatore for election campaign. But his life was saved due to delay in aircraft operation. Then the then top leadership of the Congress not only blamed the Sangh for these bomb blasts, but even said – “If the bomb had been planted by someone other than the BJP, the person who did so would definitely have killed Advani. ” Syed Ahmed Basha, Fakhruddin, Imam Ali etc. were convicted by the court in the same case.
To demonize Prime Minister Modi, the clan had tried to portray the gruesome Pulwama terror attack of February 2019, in which 40 security personnel were martyred, as ‘sponsored by the BJP’. A similar poisonous narrative was created in the serial bomb blasts that took place in Patna, Bihar on 27 October 2013. Then 5 blasts were carried out in the famous Gandhi Maidan when the then Chief Minister of Gujarat and Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi (current Prime Minister) was addressing a public meeting of about three lakhs. Then the big leaders of the then ruling Congress had directly and indirectly put the BJP in the dock for the blasts. In the same case, the court had found Haider Ali, Numan Ansari, Mojibullah, Imtiaz Alam etc. guilty.
The same clan had also alleged that Prime Minister Modi could carry out a Pulwama-like terrorist attack on the Ram temple in Ayodhya to win the last Lok Sabha elections. In fact, this narrative is part of a pre-emptive effort to not only stigmatize Hindus but also to exonerate the real culprits in the event of a highly probable Jihadi attack on the Ram Temple, rebuilt after 500 years. This is not the first time. Congress and the Left had unanimously passed a resolution by calling a special session in the Kerala Assembly on March 16, the day of Holi holidays in 2006, to get Abdul Nasir Madani, notorious for his inflammatory speeches and accused of involvement in terrorist activities, out of jail. . This group has also shown similar sympathy towards declared terrorists like Ishrat Jahan, Yakub Memon, Afzal Guru, Burhan Wani and Adil Ahmed Dar.
Terrorism is a big problem of the present world and India has been its victim for centuries. Civilized society will have to win the fight against this at any cost. If we continue to label the real victims of terrorism as ‘criminals’, are we not providing ‘safe passage’ to its real perpetrators? In such a situation, can India win the ongoing fight against terrorism?
