New Delhi. The process of receiving bomb threats against domestic and international flights of Indian airlines continues. The efforts being made by the central government and aviation companies have had no effect. The Indian government had also held a meeting with social media companies and given them strict instructions to stop such posts. Despite this, threats are being received. On Friday, 27 flights of different airlines were threatened.
According to reports, seven flights of IndiGo, Vistara and SpiceJet, while six flights of Air India received threats on Friday. Of these, two flights were going to Istanbul and the rest were domestic flights. The Udaipur to Delhi flight received a threat 10 minutes before takeoff, after which the passengers on board the plane were deboarded. Inside the flight and the passengers’ bags were checked. The flight was dispatched after three and a half hours when the bomb alert turned out to be false.
It is noteworthy that in the last 12 days, bomb threats have been received in more than 280 flights. Most threats have been given through social media. Then the Central Government held a virtual meeting with the officials of social media platform Facebook’s parent company Meta and other platform X and asked them to share the data of fake bomb threat messages.
