Today the judiciary is the main pillar of democracy...?

Bhopal. After celebrating the ‘Diamond Jubilee’ of India’s independence, looking at today’s circumstances, it is easily felt that three out of the four organs of the definition of democracy have become almost inactive and now only the judiciary has become the main pillar of democracy, on which the people of the country still have full faith, the remaining three pillars legislature, executive and media have lost their original existence and with time have started flowing with today’s undemocratic flood. It is only the judiciary which is fulfilling every need of democracy and maintaining its dignity.

A recent example of this belief of mine came to light when the Prime Minister attended the Ganeshotsav program at the residence of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court and the major political party of Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (Uddhav), made absurd comments on this scene and their spokesperson even said that the Chief Justice should not hear the case filed by them against the Modi government in the Supreme Court and should hand it over to some other judge, because seeing this scenario they have no hope of proper justice left, but the comments made by the Supreme Court on the Modi government working with prejudice in the bail case of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal the next day proved that personal relations cannot become an obstacle in the dignity of justice and in Indian democracy today, the judiciary is supreme, which is discharging its religion and duty with great honesty and integrity and it is the judiciary that has kept democracy alive in the country till now.

In the Arvind Kejriwal bail case, the Supreme Court made comments that will elevate the Indian judicial system to the pinnacle. In these comments, sharp comments have been made on the functioning of India’s main government investigation agency CBI (Central Investigation Agency) and these comments of the Supreme Court make it clear that the CBI is not impartial and it completely fulfills the political objectives of the politicians sitting in the government as per the government’s wishes. In this decision, many questions have been raised on the said government investigation agency CBI, especially the comment of a judge that – “CBI should free itself from the image of a caged parrot.”

This is the biggest blow to a so-called impartial agency. Along with this, the Supreme Court’s question is also very important – “Why was Kejriwal arrested when he had got bail in the ED case?” Now if Aam Aadmi Party leaders are questioning the impartiality of CBI due to this question, then how can they be called wrong? And the biggest thing is that this is not the first time that CBI has had to hear from the Supreme Court that this government is working under influence and pressure, before this, while hearing the scam in coal mine allocation during the Manmohan government, the Supreme Court had called CBI a “caged parrot” and the biggest regret here is that even after such harsh comments, CBI did not even try to come out of this so-called image.

This is not the only example when the judiciary has displayed its impartial image, even before this, in many cases, it has presented its impartiality by putting the government in the dock, although it is also a bitter truth that the Modi government made many unsuccessful attempts to keep the judiciary under its control, but despite many pressures, the judiciary has maintained its impartial image till date, for which it deserves congratulations. That is why it has to be said that the other three pillars of democracy have become hollow, it is only the pillar of justice on which the palace of today’s democracy stands firmly.
