Trudeau's language changed on Khalistan supporters

New Delhi. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s language has changed regarding Khalistani separatists. He has admitted that Khalistan supporters are present on Canadian soil. It is noteworthy that a diplomatic dispute has been going on between India and Canada for some time. India alleges that Canada has given immunity to Khalistan supporters and they are carrying out anti-India activities. On the other hand, Canada accused India of getting Hardeep Singh Nijjar murdered.

However, amidst this controversy, Trudeau has admitted for the first time that Khalistan supporters are present in Canada. However, he also said that these people do not represent the entire Sikh community. Trudeau said this at the Diwali celebration organized at Parliament Hill, the Parliament of Canada on Friday, November 8. It is believed that this could be the effect of Donald Trump winning the elections in America.

Along with giving a statement on Khalistan supporters, Trudeau also said that many Hindus living in Canada are also supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, but they do not represent the entire Canadian Hindu society. It is noteworthy that Trudeau has till now been rejecting the allegations of giving shelter to Khalistani terrorists and separatists. In such a situation, Trudeau’s statement is being considered very important. However, in this too he has tried to balance it by talking about Hindus supporting Narendra Modi.

Meanwhile, there is news that Canada has stopped the Student Direct Stream i.e. SDS visa program from November 8. Canada started this program in 2018. Under this, students from 14 countries are given quick visas. Apart from India, these 14 countries include countries like Pakistan, China, Morocco. According to reports, the Canadian government wants to reduce the number of immigrants coming here. For this reason this step has been taken. The government has stated on its website – We want to provide equal opportunities to all the students of the world. Therefore, it has been decided to stop the student direct stream started for some countries. Now all students around the world can equally apply for student visa.
