Two firefighters died in Nashik

Mumbai Two firefighters have died during training in Nashik, Maharashtra. Assembly elections are about to be held in the state and politics has started regarding this incident that happened before that. NCP has demanded to give martyr status to both the firefighters. Earlier, two firefighters lost their lives during cannon firing practice at the Artillery Center in Nashik, Maharashtra. This incident happened on Thursday, October 9. This information came to light on Friday, October 10.

It is reported that the accident took place at Devkali Field Firing Range around 12 noon on Thursday. He told that 20 year old Gohil Vishwaraj Singh, 21 year old Saifat Shit and 20 year old Appala Swamy were practicing firing from cannon with their team. During this time a shell exploded. All three Agniveers fell far away and pieces of metal got stuck in their bodies. Gohil and Saifat were seriously injured in the incident and Appala was also hurt. All three were admitted to MH Hospital of Devkali Camp. Gohil and Saifat died in the night.

After information about the incident came to light, NCP has said that both should be given martyr status. NCP MP Supriya Sule wrote on social media platform X – This incident is very sad. Emotional tribute to these two soldiers. The Defense Ministry should give martyr status to these two soldiers. Also give compensation to their families.
