CM had announced on the State Foundation Day
Recently, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had announced the implementation of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) on 9 November, the state foundation day. However, due to the work of the first committee not being completed, it did not seem to be implemented on time. But now the Rules and Regulation Committee has thoroughly brainstormed all the provisions of UCC and its rules have been prepared. If UCC comes into effect on November 9, Uttarakhand will become the first state in the country where this code will come into effect, which will be a historic step.
