Mumbai Maharashtra’s opposition alliance Maha Vikas Aghadi or MVA held a press conference in Mumbai on Sunday, in which former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray challenged the ruling alliance Mahayuti and asked to declare the chief ministerial face. When asked about the face of MVA, Uddhav Thackeray said- This election will be a contest between MVA and Mahayuti. First Mahayuti should name its Chief Minister candidate, then we will name our candidate.
Sharad Pawar, who was present at the press conference, claimed that the people of Maharashtra want change and he is confident that its effect will be visible in the results of the assembly elections.
Sharad Pawar said- Earlier the administration of Maharashtra was considered the best in the country, but now it has become weak. We want to free the people from the current government and I hope people will support us. He claimed that BJP is not giving respect to its old workers and is ignoring them.
Sharad Pawar said- Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave wrong information about the Banjara community. During the inauguration of ‘Banjara Heritage’, he had claimed that Congress and previous governments did not give any opportunity to the Banjara community. Refuting this claim, Sharad Pawar said- Congress has given important opportunities for leadership to the Banjara community in Maharashtra.
Vasantrao Naik of this community was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for 11 years. Sudhakarrao Naik held the post of Chief Minister for three years. Pawar said- Manohar Naik was a cabinet minister in the Congress government. Pawar said that the Banjara community is grateful to the Congress because it gave the people of this community an opportunity to lead the state.
