Uddhav ready to announce candidates

The seat distribution in Mahavikas Aghadi of opposition parties in Maharashtra has not been finalized. Informed sources say that the distribution of about 25 percent seats is still stuck. Since the number of seats has not been decided, there is no consensus on exchange of seats either. Meanwhile, Uddhav Thackeray has announced to announce his party’s candidates. It is being said from his party that the first list of party candidates will come during Navratri. However, the elections have not been announced yet and that too is likely to be held during Navratri only. The elections for Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be announced only after the election results of Jammu and Kashmir and Haryana are declared on October 8.

Informed sources say that Uddhav Thackeray wants to take the lead by announcing some of his candidates before the announcement of elections. Keep in mind that seat distribution has not been decided yet even in BJP’s alliance i.e. Mahayuti. There is also no consensus regarding the role of Ajit Pawar. It is believed that some clarity will come after Amit Shah’s visit on October 1. Therefore, Uddhav wants that before the seat distribution is decided in the Mahayuti, he should field some of his candidates and start the election campaign. However, leaders of Congress and Sharad Pawar’s party are apprehensive about his move. They feel that Uddhav has used this trick to put pressure on them. Whatever may be the case, it is being said that almost all major decisions will be taken during Navratri starting from October 3.
