UN peacekeeping force attacked

New Delhi. Israel, which is continuously attacking the southern part of Lebanon by targeting Hezbollah, also attacked the post of United Nations peacekeeping force. Two members of the United Nations peacekeeping force were injured in this attack. It is noteworthy that the Blue Line has been created on the border of Israel and Lebanon for the United Nations Peacekeeping Mission. Hundreds of Indian soldiers are also deployed there.

India has also expressed concern over these attacks carried out on Thursday. The Ministry of External Affairs said on Friday that India is monitoring the deteriorating security situation on the Blue Line. India also said that necessary steps should be taken to protect the posts of the peacekeeping force. After this action of Israel, many countries like Italy, France and Indonesia have sought answers from Israel. At the same time, Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar said that Hezbollah is attacking Israel under the cover of UN post. He said that Israel will take necessary steps to protect the UN troops.

Actually, two types of peacekeepers are deployed on the border of Lebanon and Israel. The name of one of these is United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon, while the other is United Nations Disengagement Observer Force. Israel started ground incursion into Lebanon on October 1. After this, Israel asked the United Nations peacekeeping force to withdraw from Southern Lebanon. However, he refused to do so. Now the United Nations has alleged that Israel has continuously targeted their base in the last 24 hours.
