US Elections: Which direction will America go? Harris and Trump's stance on major issues

Washington. American voters will give their verdict regarding the Presidential Election on November 5. Either Democrat Kamala Harris or Republican Donald Trump will lead the country for the next four years and during this time will decide the government policy on major issues. Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump offer two very different visions for the country. The views of the two leaders are quite different from each other on everything from economic issues related to the common man’s pocket and reproductive rights to foreign policy. In the election campaign, both the leaders have presented their views to the people through speeches, advertisements and media interviews. While many of Trump’s promises raise legal questions, some of Harris’s plans would likely require Democratic control of Congress. According to both Harris and Trump, ‘the future of the country’ is at stake in 2024. Harris has argued that the country’s Constitution is in danger due to Trump’s fascist tendencies and disregard for the rule of law.

On the other hand, Trump argues that due to Harris’s radical leftist agenda, there will be no country left for Americans. Harris says that if Trump is re-elected he would impose a national abortion ban, which would eliminate women’s right to reproductive freedom. The Vice President has also promised a package of economic policies to help the middle class, crack down on price rise and encourage housing. The former president’s election agenda is based on the promise of improving the economy by ending inflation, which has been the top issue in this election. The Harris campaign is weakest on these issues. He has also vowed to end illegal immigration (especially through the southern border). The former President has also threatened to increase tariffs to prevent American manufacturers from starting their businesses abroad.
