Shimla. In Himachal Pradesh, the issue of ordering the name of shopkeepers to be written on food shops is gaining momentum. The state government has canceled this order and the Congress has also clarified that the government never had such intention. However, state government minister Vikramaditya Singh, who gave information about this rule, is maintaining silence. Meanwhile, there is news of him being summoned to Delhi. It is being told that Congress Organization General Secretary KC Venugopal has called him to Delhi.

In fact, Vikramaditya Singh had recently praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and his policies. Besides, on the lines of UP, he had also instructed restaurants, fast food centers and street vendors in Himachal Pradesh to install name plates in front of their shops. However, the Congress government has distanced itself from this order. Himachal government has said that the cabinet will consider other suggestions including name plates for street vendors, no decision has been taken yet.

Earlier, while talking to the media in Shimla on Wednesday, Vikramaditya Singh had said – Instructions have been given to the Urban Development Department to install the name plate. Especially those selling food and drinks need to take care of cleanliness. He said- People have expressed concerns regarding cleanliness. Street vendor committee has been formed. The license with photo will be taken from this committee.
