New Delhi. After Durga Puja, violence has taken place in five states of the country regarding idol immersion and communal tension has arisen. Apart from Uttar Pradesh, religious disputes have taken place in Telangana, West Bengal, Karnataka and Jharkhand. The idol of Mother Goddess was vandalized on Monday morning in Muthyalamma temple of Hyderabad in Telangana. There were protests in the morning regarding this. BJP leader Madhavi Lata, who contested the elections from Hyderabad, warned those who break statues of dire consequences. He led the demonstration. However, he was taken into custody by the police. Union Minister Kishan Reddy also reached the temple.
On the other hand, in West Bengal, on Sunday night, people of a particular community vandalized the Durga pandal in Shyampur area of Howrah district. BJP claims that anarchists also set fire to the idol of Goddess Durga. Similarly, in Solapur village of Belagavi district of Karnataka, a clash broke out between two groups after the insult of the idol of Durga Mata on Sunday night, in which three people were injured. There was firing and stone pelting on both sides during Durga Visarjan in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh. A young man died in this. A violent clash broke out between villagers and police during idol immersion in Garhwa, Jharkhand on Sunday.
