New Delhi. The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday announced the election date for 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra. According to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, elections in Maharashtra will be held in one phase. Elections for 288 assembly seats will be held on November 20, while counting of votes will take place on November 23. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that the total number of voters in Maharashtra is 9.63 crore, out of which 4.97 crore are male and 4.66 crore are female voters. The number of first-time voters is 20.93 lakh.

Apart from this, 1,00,186 polling stations will be made in Maharashtra, compared to last time, this time also we will make booths run by PWD and women. Rajiv Kumar said that 12.43 lakh voters in Maharashtra are above 85 years of age. Apart from this, the number of transgender voters is 6,031. 1.85 crore young voters are in the age group of 20 to 29 years. According to Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar, more than one lakh polling stations will be set up for the assembly elections in Maharashtra. ECI is committed to ensuring a smooth voting experience through inclusive and accessible elections in Maharashtra.

29 October (Tuesday) – Last date of nomination

October 30 (Wednesday) – Date of scrutiny of nominations.

04 November (Monday) – Last date for withdrawal of candidature

November 20- Elections will be held in Maharashtra in one phase.

November 23- Counting of votes will take place for 288 seats in Maharashtra.
