When Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to the field for the first time to hold an election rally after the Lok Sabha elections, he came with the intention of destroying the Congress. So, he launched a massive attack on the Congress. He attacked the Congress in Haryana not by considering it as his main political rival, but by considering it as his arch enemy. The BJP ruled the state for 10 years continuously and at the same time, the BJP government of Narendra Modi himself was in power at the Centre. That is, in his words, a double engine government has been running in Haryana for 10 years. In this time, all the problems of a small state like Haryana should have been solved and Haryana should have become a model state to show to the world. But the reality of Haryana is that on the day when the Prime Minister was giving a speech in Kurukshetra, the news came that two officials of a multinational bank drowned along with their car in the water accumulated in an underpass in Faridabad and died and the news also came that a day before, on Friday, people were stuck in traffic jams for four hours due to waterlogging in Gurugram.
However, instead of talking about the achievements of the double engine government and the roadmap for further development, the Prime Minister only attacked the Congress in his speech. He levelled all kinds of allegations against the Congress. Calling himself the champion of reservation, he said that the royal family of the Congress wants to end the reservation of Dalits and backward classes, but this will not happen under Modi. He called the Congress appeaser and anti-Hindu in the name of the confiscation of the idol of Ganpati in a procession in Karnataka. Modi called the Congress anti-Dalit and mentioned the incidents of 15-20 years ago. He accused the Congress of corruption and said that during its rule, appointments were made on the basis of expenses and slips. He called the Congress urban Naxals. He also said that if the Congress comes to power, it will make the state poor like Himachal Pradesh and there will be no money to pay salaries.
