Dev Uthani Ekadashi: All festivals and festivals are important in Sanatan Dharma. Ekadashi has great importance in Hindu religion. Devuthani Ekadashi is considered very important. On the day of Devshayani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu goes into yoga nidra for 4 months. On Devuthani Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu wakes up from Yoga Nidra after a long period of four months, with which Chaturmas will end. Ekadashi date falling in Shukla Paksha of Kartik month is also known as Prabodhini Ekadashi and Devutthan Ekadashi. Sri Hari Vishnu again takes over the responsibility of running the universe. Auspicious activities like marriage, engagement, mundan, house warming also start from this day itself. Apart from this, this date is considered best to please Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi.

Devuthani Ekadashi date

According to the Vedic calendar, this year the Ekadashi tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month will start at 6.46 pm on 11 November 2024. The same date will end on November 12, 2024 at 4.4 pm. According to Udaya Tithi, the fast of Devuthani Ekadashi will be observed on Tuesday, 12th November.

Devuthani Ekadashi Paran Muhurta

The auspicious time for breaking the fast of Ekadashi Tithi of Kartik month i.e. Devuthani Ekadashi will start from 6.42 minutes to 8.51 minutes on 13th November. During this period, devotees will get a total of 1 hour and 1 minute to complete Parana.

Devuthani Ekadashi puja method

To observe the fast on Devuthani Ekadashi, wake up early in the morning, take bath, meditate and take a pledge to fast for Lord Vishnu. After that clean the temple. After that meditate on Lord Vishnu and Mother Lakshmi. Then bathe the Lord with Panchamrit, apply turmeric or Gopi sandalwood tilak. After that offer a garland of yellow flowers, sweets, fruits and basil leaves to Lord Vishnu. Chant Om Namo Bhagwate Vasudevaya or any other mantra of Lord Vishnu, recite Vishnu Sahastranam and sing the aarti. After observing fast for the whole day, stay awake at night by chanting bhajans and kirtans of God. After that, after morning puja, break the fast during Parana time.
