Shardiya Navratri 2024: The auspicious beginning of Shardiya Navratri is starting from tomorrow i.e. 3rd October. Mother Shailputri is worshiped on the first day of Navratri. Mother Shailputri is extremely kind and gracious, and divine radiant glow is present on her face. Goddess Shailputri holds a lotus flower in her left hand and a trident in her right hand, and her vehicle is Vrishabha (bull). Mother Shailputri removes all the troubles of her devotees and provides them happiness and prosperity. She was born to the king of mountains, Himalaya, hence she is called Shailputri. Method of worship of Maa Shailputri
On the first day of Chaitra Navratri, Ghatasthapana is done along with the worship of Maa Shailputri, which formally starts the Navratri worship. Take bath in the morning and decorate the temple, after that install the Kalash and start the puja. Apply tilak with vermillion on the idol or picture of Maa Shailputri and offer red flowers.
