After the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya did a lot of politics. He was sitting in Delhi for several days. There was discussion that the party high command is also not happy with Yogi Adityanath and the Chief Minister can be changed. It was also reported that both the Deputy Chief Ministers i.e. Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak were not attending the meetings called by the Chief Minister. However, later everything became normal and the news came that the BJP high command has given Yogi Adityanath a chance till the by-elections. If BJP’s performance is not good in the by-elections, there may be a change. That’s why Yogi Adityanath is fighting this election in a do or die style. But it seems that Keshav Prasad Maurya is trying to puncture his campaign.
Yogi Adityanath is contesting the elections on the slogan ‘If we divide, we will be cut’. Many times he raised the issue of atrocities being committed on the Hindus of Bangladesh and by giving its example, he raised the slogan of ‘If we divide, we will cut’. But Keshav Prasad Maurya has said that this is not the slogan of BJP and BJP is not contesting elections on this slogan. Yogi supporters believe that there is corruption in the by-elections and many party leaders are internally opposing the BJP candidates in it. They know that if BJP’s performance is good then Yogi’s position will be confirmed for the 2027 elections. That’s why some BJP leaders are shrugging off their slogan by calling it harmful, while some BJP leaders are referring to the slogan given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘If we stay together, we will be safe’.
