Speaking at the event, ITU Secretary-General Doreen Bogdan-Martin said, “The results of WTSA-24 remind us that there is one Earth, one human family and one shared digital future for all mankind.”

“What was supposed to be a form of communication has now become a path on which the future of not only our country but all of humanity will be built in the coming decades,” said Jyotiraditya Scindia, communications minister of host country India.
In recent resolutions agreed at the WTSA conference, under these decisions, the ITU is directed to give priority to the following areas:
• Responsible, safe and inclusive AI with collaboration through the ‘AI for Good’ platform;
• Trusted, inclusive and interoperable metaverse applications • Continuous digital transformation across multiple industries and technologies;
Technical requirements for digital public infrastructure;
• Communication technologies for everything from vehicles, intelligent transportation systems and automated driving;
• caller-location information from mobile phones to support emergency communications;
• Preparing students and young professionals for the next generation of ITU standards experts;
• Continuous improvement and development to meet new policy objectives and market needs.
Commenting on the outcome document, Seizo Onoe, Director of the ITU Telecommunications Standardization Bureau, said, “ITU standards and capacity development must lay the foundation for the digital future we envision for industries.” We must support developing countries, which strive to make this impact while establishing strong connections. will.”
