Billions of people disappear in the Asia-Pacific Ocean, promoting their recognition

The decision taken at the Third Cabinet level conference on citizen registration and important statistics (CRVS) is an important step towards transforming the public, inclusive and skilled CRVS system into reality.

The Cabinet confirms the manifesto of the declaration, under which all the people of the region get the benefit of this national CRVS system which ensures legal identity, protect human rights, strengthen good governance, improve public health and increase sustainable development.

It also emphasizes the importance of marriage registration and the need to create a system capable of dealing with the future crisis.

In the last decade, there has been significant progress in this direction. In 2002, where 5 million children under the age of five were not registered after the birth, the number of these national children has now dropped to Tk 1.5 crore – that is, the percent by 5 percent.

Today, in 20 countries, within a year, more than 90 percent of birth and 30 countries are registering the same number of deaths.

The quality of information entry on the causes of death has also been improved.

Yet, the challenges are intact. It is assumed that now about 1.4 million children have not registered for one year in the region.

And every year about 69 million deaths are without records, especially in the distant or deprived field from healthcare.

The UN General Secretary and the Executive Secretary of the ESPP, Armida Salsiyah Alishana, said, “These figures are not just numbers, a symbol of life that did not get legal recognition and families that could not get any support.

This advertisement presents a clean and ambitious roadmap for 2030, where people are kept in the center.

It emphasizes the inclusion of inclusive and accessible services, taking digital innovations, strengthening legal structure and development of integrated data systems.

At the same time, gender equality, data privacy and service continuity have been revealed in crisis.

This reformed regional resolution empowers the attitude of “leaving someone behind”.

Its purpose is to finish the remaining interval, create and include CRVS system and ensure that each person – whether his gender, space or situation is – counting, they have been preserved and their presence in the policy is registered.
