Brutality with refugees forcibly returns to Afghanistan

A former TV reporter left the country in August 2021 because of the threat of the Taliban. But when he was forced to return from Pakistan in 2021, he received an invisible imprisonment, not independence.

The UN report said, “There is no employment for me, there is no freedom to raise voice, and I can clearly say that at home I am effectively ignoring.”

Based on the testimony of 49 people like them, the report has published the UN Assistance Mission (UNAMA) and the UN Human Rights Office in Afghanistan.

This report clearly revealed that people – especially women, former security forces, journalists and officers associated with civil society workers – are becoming victims of regular revenge, oppression and human rights violations.

The status of people involved with the former administration is worrying

According to the report, however, the Taliban publicly announced the public apologies for many former government officials and security personnel, the truth that they should live continuously after returning.

One such former official said that he was imprisoned in a secret place for two nights soon after returning to 2021, where he was brutally beaten with sticks, her and wood, was tortured in water and finally was terrified by hanging fake. During this cruelty, his leg is broken.

Horror position for women

Women who are deprived of fundamental rights such as employment, movement and education are especially facing social oppression.

“They should not be sent back to any country where they are at risk of harassment because of their identity or personal history,” said Turk, head of the United Nations human rights head.

“This threat in Afghanistan is more serious for women and girls who only face harassment on the basis of their gender.”

Sending a person back to the country where he is a violation of non-dissemination principles, where he is a true threat to torture, inhuman behavior or irreparable harm.

It is a main pillar of international human rights and refugee laws and it falls into a serious violation of international law.

Recommendation and application

The report has made a clear appeal to all countries with careful and individually evaluating each person’s situation and does not send any person back to Afghanistan with a serious threat to human rights violation or harassment.

Also, countries have been urged to provide alternative and safe ways for the Afghan people, so that they can safely seek shelter in other countries and live without fear of exile.

Millions of Afghan people from Pakistan and Iran have already put a lot of pressure on Afghanistan’s weak system.

The report also emphasizes that Afghan refugees should increase financial assistance for long -term rehabilitation and assistance to ensure their safe and respectful rehabilitation of other countries.

“The Afghan people will be incomplete until the Afghan people participate in the social, political and economic life,” said Rosa Otunbeva, special representative of Afghanistan.

“I urge the Taliban to fulfill their duties under international law and to protect their people’s rights.”
