Expressed the horrible misery of children in Gaza, urging them to stand beside them in danger

Tom Fletcher begins his speech, saying, “Today is a rare occasion when we have been able to highlight positive development, though there is a horrible humanitarian need in Gaza.

He said that the recent ceasefire has provided a very necessary vacation from the ongoing war and has allowed life -saving humanitarian assistance.

Tom Fletcher expressed his gratitude to the intermediaries – Egypt, Qatar and the United States – for their tireless efforts to make ceasefire possible.

“If all parties are respecting the agreement, we can save many more lives,” he said.

Hunger

Tom Fletcher describes the painful experience of Palestinian children during the last 15 months war. “Children have been killed, starved in starvation, crippled, orphaned or are separated from their families.”

He also said that more than 3,000 children in Gaza are living without families.

The condition of pregnant women and new mothers is equal. It is estimated that one lakh 3,000 women need the health services intense.

Tom Fletcher lamented, “Some children die before they breathe on the earth – they die with their mother during delivery.”

He said that education also had a serious impact, many children were deprived of school and many were fighting for long -term illnesses to get the necessary medical care.

“Many children have been subjected to sexual violence,” said Tom Fletcher.

He also caught attention to the extra humiliation of girls who do not have the opportunity to serve menstruation.

The whole generation shocked

According to the United Nations Children’s Organization (UNICEF), a million children in Gaza require depression, anxiety and suicide, and mental health and psychological support.

Tom Fletcher said “a generation shocked”

However, despite this challenge, ceasefire has given human companies the opportunity to increase their assistance.

Tom Fletcher said, “Safe, humanitarian help, the absence of war, the absence of war and the almost complete end of the criminal plunder has greatly improved our (assistance) operational power.”

The United Nations and partners have increased the flow of help, increased storage capacity and repaired important infrastructure.

Tom calls Fletcher a member state and private sector to ensure regular assistance to the private sector, saying, “The whole Gaza – more than 2 million people – dependent on our humanitarian assistance.”

War on the west bank, attacking

Tom Fletcher has also mentioned the records of record-high levels of casualties, displacement and help access to the Palestinian region, the West Bank, from October 2023.

“Israeli Jewish settlers have attacked Palestinian villages, setting fire to houses and property,” he said. Increased restrictions on movement are obstructing the entry of basic services.

The situation in Janine is especially worrying, where recent Israeli military attacks have further destroyed and displaced.

Tom Fletcher said the Palestinian authorities had previously launched a raid for about a week, causing about two thousand families to be displaced.

Three calls

Tom Fletcher has made three urgent appeals to the Security Council: to ensure the continuity of the ceasefire, to maintain international law in Israel-occupied Palestine and ensure financing for humanitarian activities.

“Our 2025 Emergency Application has called for $ 4.7 billion to meet the needs of three million people on the west bank,” he said.

He emphasized that about 90 percent of this money was needed for Gaza.

“Gaza children are not unwanted victims of war. They are worthy of protection, education and hope of the world,” said Tom Fletcher.

“We need to be there for them right now.”
