Gaza: After a ceasefire, more than 1 million Palestinians received food assistance

On January 5, for the last 6 months, the war in Gaza was stopped and bonds agreed to publish. The war began after the attack on Hamas and other extremist groups on Israel, October 2021.

According to the UN Humanities Office, a large number of human assistance have been provided to Gaza Strip every day since the implementation of this agreement.

Also, the situation has been improved to reach the needy population and the opportunities for life -saving support and services are being increased.

It is reported that the humanitarian assistance mission is no longer in line with the Israeli administration, though it will be required to enter the buffer zone.

Food assistance and healthcare

The UN Agency says that according to the population movement, partners’ organizations are changing their assigned efforts.

Under it, services have been expanded in the regions including Rafah, Gaza and Northern Gaza governors, where it was difficult to reach first.

The need for human assistance in Gaza is at a serious level. Due to the war, more than 2 million people are now dependent on food support, homeless and income sources.

In the last two weeks, the World Food Program (WFP) has transported one million metric tons of food to Gaza Strip and this material has been distributed to more than 1 million families through food packets.

Also, the WFP has provided fuel supply for the Gaza governor bakery, so that their production capacity can be increased by 40 percent.

Also, 20 emergency medical teams are working in Gaza, of which 22 are in central and southern Gaza and two are in Gaza City and one in North Gaza.

According to the United Nations Humanities Office, 2 January has moved from one region to the other to the other, though the journey is slowing down. More than five million people have entered the south to the north, and more than 3,000 people have gone to South Gaza.

One of the main reasons for this is the lack of services in northern Gaza and the loss of houses and communities in large scale.

According to one unknown, more than five million people in Gaza have returned to Gaza and northern Gaza governor and they need a strong need for food, water, tents and shelters.

Sheltered

Meanwhile, the Palestinian Red Crescent has said that at least three thousand tents were supplied to North Gaza, and seven thousand tents would be decorated in the coming days.

According to the OCHA, last Sunday, people have started sending people to other countries for better treatment through Rafah on the Egyptian border. From 1 to 8 February, 5 patients, including more than 5 children and 666 Timadar, have been sent to another country for better treatment.

The UN agency estimates that 795 people are still held hostage in Gaza and are dead among them. In the last one week, the International Red Cross Committee has made a significant contribution to the efforts to release prisoners.

After the ceasefire, the Palestinian families are moving to their home in northern Gaza.

On January 5, three Israeli and five Thai robbers were handed over to the Israeli administration by the Gaza and five Palestinian prisoners were released from Israeli custody.

The next day, three Israeli Fondis was sent from Gaza to Israel and 183 Palestinian prisoners were released from Israel’s detention center. Of these, four people were detained in the Gaza Valley after the October October attack.

As a result of the ICRC efforts, 18 hostages and 583 Palestinian prisoners have been released so far since the ceasefire began.
