The UN Security Council is holding an emergency meeting on Friday to discuss the deteriorating health care system and weak medical and care systems for ordinary Palestinians due to the war in the Gaza Strip. It is the first meeting of the Security Council in 2025, which chair country Algeria has called for January. United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHR)OHCHR) Volker Turk and the World Health Organization (WHO) Council representatives will inform Council member states about the current situation in Gaza.
