Gaza: In the destruction of the war the human thirst appeared to eliminate

Every day they carry their trucks to fill the empty tanks and pots on the Gaza strip.

One day like this, our camera was with him on this difficult mission to supply water to the residents of Jabalia. UN news journalist Ibrahim Alohash met at the Desalination Plant, where they had to wait a few hours to get water before they left.

Like other places in Gaza, this mythical plant was also full of crowds. Ibrahim Alohash said that the fuel in Gaza is finishing and the plant requires about 35-40 liters of diesel per hour.

Waiting for hours

Ibrahim Light should be very patient in the plant: “We wait about 5 hours to fill the water and wait about 5 hours. The cost of water has increased a lot due to production costs.

“One cubic meter of water is so high because the diesel has become very expensive for running the generator. One cubic meter is getting water, 90-100 shekel, ie about 20 Jordinian dollars.”

After completing his work, Ibrahim Alosh started the truck engine from his old and went out on the challenging journey of Jabalia’s collapsed regions.

The struggle of the Ibrahim light does not end itself in the water plant. Running a truck surrounded by ruins in Gaza is not an easy task. However, Ibrahim is waiting to reach the people standing in the water.

People are always standing in waiting for them. It is almost impossible for trucks to reach some regions. If Ibrahim was not involved, the region would probably have been completely deprived of water supply.

There is no life without water

“We are fighting the serious water crisis,” said Ayman Kamal, a resident of Gaza Patti. Where some people succeed in filling 5-10 gallons of water after waiting half a day, others do not drink water because of being behind in the line.

While filling the water, another resident of Gaza, Fati El-Khalut, said, “Life without water is not possible … We wait for this drink to get from far away water and there is a crowd of people to get part of our water.”

Sameer Badar has said that his kids have to travel here for water for a long time. “We have faced a lot of problems with this blockade.

Two children are taking water from the truck.

The water crisis is more deeper

The blockade at the boundary has prevented the entry of fuel, causing the plants to be paralyzed. In addition to these, the amount of water available for the Gaza population has decreased significantly due to the closure of many large pipelines of drinking water. UN children’s funds, UNICEF, have warned that the water crisis is getting worse day by day.

As the ceasefire is over, the task of repairing important wells and repairing the drinking water centers has also been closed, which causes many water sources to be closed or more damage.

According to UNICEF, about 1 lakh people, including 1 lakh children, are currently being supplied to 6 liters of ration water daily, which is very low in the first 16 liters of 16 liters.

UNICEF warns that if the fuel is finished, in the next weeks, this amount will have to be reduced, reduce to 4 liters daily. It can force the family to go to protected sources for supply, which will increase the risk of spreading the disease especially among children.
