Global churning for 2030 goals: Emphasis on health, gender equality and sea protection in the UN forum

The 2025 high-level political forum-HLPF is being held after two successful UN conferences. The first of the conference was focused on sea protection in NIS City in June, the second was held in Sevia City, Spain, where financing was emphasized for sustainable development initiatives.

The Sevia Conference ended with a strong call to remove the annual financial deficit of $ 4 trillion required to achieve sustainable development goals. Also, the need for further investment and deep structural reforms in the global financial system was underlined.

In sustainable development, it will be held at the UN headquarters in New York from July 7 to 25, under the High -Level Forum, the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOC).

This year’s five main topics related to the UN forum:

1 To increase the pace of implementation

HLPF (High-level Political Forum) is the UN main platform, which monitors global progress on sustainable development goals. This platform is held every year, so that the efforts of the countries can be reviewed, successful strategies should be exchanged and the steps to achieve 2030 goals can be accelerated.

2025 forums The theme of the theme is: 2030 agenda and sustainable development goals are sustainable, inclusive, science-based and proof-based solutions so that no one is behind.

This theme shows increasingly urgent. The last deadline of 20 is coming fast, so the focus of the stage will be focused on the techniques on the basis of statistics, so that the defects present in the implementation can be eliminated – especially when the world faces many serious challenges such as climate change, social discrimination and economic turmoil.

2 Priority of five sustainable development goals

Every year HLPF reviews a full review of several sustainable development goals (SDGs). The goals that will be given special attention in 2025 are:

  • SDG 3: better health and welfare for everyone
  • SDG 5: All women and girls sexual equality and empowerment
  • SDG 8: Sustainable economic development and decent work
  • SDG 14: Life under water
  • SDG 17: Global Partnerships to achieve goals

These goals include many important aspects of public health, gender equality, economic tolerance and marine protection.

SDG 17, which is reviewed annually, underlines how to restore global partners to achieve sustainable development goals, and especially how to strengthen the way to implement such financing. During the recent conference held in Sevia, nations have expressed concrete and important promises in this direction.

Asia Pacific countries have intensive results of climate change, which is also being affected by their SDG progress.

3 Volunteer National Review

One of the main features of HLPF is the voluntary national review (VNR) – it is a voluntary national review given by Member States, under which they evaluate their progress towards sustainable development goals.

In 2025, many countries will present them VNR, so that they will present a glimpse of their achievements as well as challenges.

The purpose of these reviews is to encourage transparency, to increase the possibilities of learning at the international level and strengthen the culture of responsibility and accountability.

At the same time, this platform provides the opportunity to establish direct support with governments about the priority of civil society, youth, research institutes and other large stakeholders.

Through interactive sessions called VNR Labs, countries also have the opportunity to find new potentials of cooperation, innovation and cooperation.

4 Not only the government, but also all participation

Although HLPF is an inter-government platform from the United Nations, it also includes not only the government, local organizations, local organizations, tribal communities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), educationist, private sector and UN agencies.

Side events, exhibitions and circular tables are rich in discussions, this platform reflects the inclusive attitude of the 2030 agenda, which is considered universal, global attempts to be shared.

5. 5 – 4 – 3 – 3 – 2 – 1… the last count begins

There are now only five years left to achieve the agenda of 20 – the HLPF of 2021 has been with an important turn.

This is not just an annual assessment platform, but a historical moment, where science, global solidarity and quick action should be taken, decide on sustainable development should be taken.

This platform will launch the foundation stone of the next SDG summit held in 2027, where world leaders will still review the combined progress and decide that final efforts should be made to meet goals in the remaining five years.

This is the moment of ‘Deadline two -Jupiter’, which will determine that sustainable development goals (SDGs) become a real global commitment – or will be the alluring opportunities of history.
