The UN Health Organization, the International Nurse Council and other companies on Monday published the State of the World Nursing 2021 report, according to which the number of them increased from 2.79 crore in 2018 to Tk 2.5 crore in 2021.
However, due to the availability and discrimination of nurses prevailing in services, the necessary healthcare is not available in many parts of the world, which affects global health protection.
This new report has been published in AVA of ‘International Nurse Day’, based on data from 194 Member States.
The survey found that Lakh2 lakh nurses had a shortage in 2021, which has improved and the gap has come down to Tk 1 lakh in 2021. It is estimated to estimate Rs 41 lakh by 2030.

However, this progress also has the significance of hidden fields. About 78 percent of nurses worldwide have a country whose population is only 5 percent of the world’s population.
It is extremely challenging to teach and maintain nurses in lower-middle-medium countries, to give them employment and maintain them. For this, it is important to invest in the health system there.
At the same time, a large number of nurses are retiring in high-age countries, which need to be prepared. Because of this, the growing dependence on trained nurses abroad needs to be reviewed.
