Human rights status in Haiti is 'extremely concerned', new report of the United Nations Office

According to a report published on Tuesday, at least 1,62626 people have died in the last one year and more than 2,22 people were injured. Most parts of the Haiti’s capital, including Port-Engage, have control of criminal groups. Compared to 2023, these figures reflect anxious growth, while a thousand people were killed.

UN spokesperson Stefan duo, providing information to New York journalists, said that Haiti’s security situation was getting worse.

After this murder, self -defense groups have taken steps in revenge, which has increased violence.

Killing under official security

Hatti security forces have also been accused of implementing human rights violations cases. According to a UN office report, in 2021, police killed more than 250 people, including two children.

Many people were killed after taking custody, while others failed to pay the identity card they died.

Despite the demand for accountability, the police have blocked the investigation into a fairly abuse case. No officer was investigated after June 2023, which reflects the absence of appropriate inspection system.

Despite the huge crisis, Haiti’s judicial system is weak and the judicial process is moving very slowly in many major cases of killing and corruption.

UN Human Rights High Commissioner Volca has emphasized the restoration of the legal system in Turkey -Haiti and called for the international community to confirm the entire establishment of multinational security assistance missions.
