India: Water Cleaning Sentinel - Rina Ahirwar

The drain, the gray water (dirty water) begins to remain full. Water begins to freeze in every way and in public. To solve this problem, the women of the village started the ‘UN Project Service Office’ – UNOPS initiative at United.

Reena Ahirwar, who commanded the campaign, who not only inspired women, did not drink water to save, but also played an important role in freeing the village roads and roads from waterlogging.

With the help of UNOPS, two litch peats were built in the village, which helped to operate gray water. Seeing its success, Rina and Panchayat had increased the demand for Pete and Litch Peat with the whole village and held a meeting to make the people aware and proceeded the campaign through the participation of the people.

The results of this effort were to make 5 holes in the Panchayat village, which could solve the problem of waterlogging. The paths and public places are now completely free from waterlogging in the village of Aimilia.

This promotion of Reena Ahirwar has now become an example for the villages around.
