'Moral Failure': 'Jatra Bag' turned into a house of children trapped in battle '

On Wednesday, Video conferencing from Syria told the Sala Protection Council, “From that day, our house became a ‘journey bag’ and that displacement turned into our way … My childhood was full of fear and anxiety and I was deprived of my loved ones.”

Siler is now 17 years old. He shared his experience during the Syrian Civil War at a UN Security Council meeting on Wednesday. The meeting was held to discuss the latest reports of the general secretary about children and armed conflict.

This report recorded 25 percent of human rights violations against children in 2021, which is the largest number recorded so far in 20 years of history.

“It has confirmed this year’s report again this year’s report on the Child Security Director of Child Protection Director of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Child Protection Director of Children’s Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and which many children already know – the world is failing to protect them from the horrors of their war.”

“Every human rights violation against the children of every country in the world is a matter of moral failure.”

The real opportunity of loss

The report, presented to the Protection Council, was published every year to record a record of serious human rights violations against children in the war.

This report depends entirely on and verified data compiled by the United Nations. This means that the original number may be higher than the data recorded.

In 2021, the report recorded 5,900 cases of human rights violations – including murder and inability, rape, kidnapping and assisting children, including killing and targeting children.

This report was prepared by the Virginia Gamba Office, Special Representative of Child and Armed Conflict. Virginia Gamba said, “Every child who suffers from this attack carries a story with him, a snatching life, a broken dream, a future that has faded with meaningless violence and long conflict.”

According to the report, although many incidents of human rights violations, conflicts and conflicts have occurred, especially when the city war is increasing, serious human rights violations may continue even after the end of the conflict.

These human rights violations are still in the explosive form of not spreading to the ground.

Seema Sen Gupta says, “Every unused weapon left on any farm, school courtyard or street is like the punishment of death, which can hug the children at any moment.”

And these conditions are in the form of trauma and injury, which does not leave the child completely completely.

Wounds that are never cured

Even if children, there is a serious human rights violation, they cannot avoid deep injury, if they are victims of violence, their wounds live with them all their lives.

Even if they are not injured, they have mourning in their lives.

Virginia Gamba said, “Physical and emotional wounds for the living covers their lifetime, which affects the main structure of families, communities and society.”

This is why UNICEF and its partners have worked to provide reunion programs and psychological assistance for children with serious human rights violations.

Sila said that her childhood push was still with her and it inspired her to be lawyer for children in turmoil.

Sila said, “After this moment, nothing seems to be normal in my life. I am afraid of a voice like a plane, dark and even silence.”

‘Remove them in frustration’

The Virginia Gamba report called for “Atal Blasphemy and Instant Steps” from the international community to reverses the concerned trends presented in the report.

He said, “We can’t go back to the dark ages, where the children were disappearing and the armed conflict was continuous … please don’t let them go back to the shadow of frustration.”
