Service Service affected by decreasing the amount of assistance: the risk of pregnant women and newborn

The role of the midwife or the midwife is very important in saving life.

However, due to serious concessions of assistance, UN support has been seriously threatened to support midwives’ important services.

According to the UN Breeding Health Agency, UNFPA, every year, occurs in only three-fourths of maternal mortality, most of which are sub-collected in sub-Sahara Africa and South Asia.

In a crisis area that is doubled during pregnancy or delivery, the midwife is often the first or only way to provide life -sacred care to pregnant women and their newborns.

Due to financial decrease, the UNFPA is now forced to reduce support for midwives. In 2025, the company was ready to support 3,521 midwife in eight affected countries, but now only 47 percent of them will be provided financial assistance.

Wicked -line workers

Often women will lose access to important distribution services during the crisis. In worse circumstances, UNFPA Natalia Kanem Executive Director Natalia Kanim said about the important role that came forward to protect pregnant women and act as lifeline for them, “Dye saves lives.”

The UN provides training, supply and equipment during the humanitarian crisis, sometimes including transport for mobile health clinics. All of these services must be reduced in a decrease in financial assistance.

UNFPA said on International Delivery Day, “When the crisis comes and the systems are destroyed. In such circumstances the rights come forward and take care of the job.”

Financial exemption

Among the lack of 1 million midwives worldwide, the rate of death between women and newborns is increasing due to the decline in the budget and sensitive regions.

“Our blood bags to drugs are deficient in the East in the eastern part of Dr. Congo,” There is a shortage of everything from our blood bag to drugs.

The damaged areas of sensitive conflict are 5 percent of death during delivery, and the global gross maternal mortality is percent 1 percent. Worldwide, this trend increases further through heavy financial discounts in the amount of assistance. For example, it is feared that in Yemen, more than 5 million of childbirth can be deprived of access to more than 90,000 female rights.

New initiative

In view of the current financial crisis, the UNFPA and partners have recently launched the Global Midwife Accelerator. The purpose of this integrated initiative is to enhance middle-class care in countries with the highest maternal mortality.

This initiative presents an expensive roadmap that focuses on saving life in the most sensitive situations and strengthening national health systems.

UNFPA called for more funds, training and assistance for midwife or midwives’ effectiveness. The company emphasized that the death of two-thirds of the mother and newborn was possible from the universal health coverage of the midwife. With this, healthcare expenses can reduce the cost of employees and reduce productive capacity.
