South Sudan: In the deepest crisis, apply to the four sides to maintain peace

Nicholas Hessam, head of UNMISS, said in a statement on Wednesday that the leaders of South Sudan were on their way to a large -scale violent conflict or to move towards peace, rebuild and democracy in 2018 in 2018.

Nicholas Hesim is also a special representative of the UN general secretary for South Sudan. He warned that any unilateral amendment in the agreement could be the opposite of progress made in the last seven years and the risk of pushing South Sudan into war again.

He said, “It not only destroy South Sudan, but the whole region will be affected.”

South Sudan gained independence from Sudan in the 21st, but since then it has been fighting conflict and turmoil.

In the 21st, the Civil War was raised among the loyal military forces of President Salva Kir and supporters of former Vice President Rick Machar. After many years of nation violence, collective atrocities and humanitarian crisis, a peace agreement agreed in the fragile situation in 2018.

Rick Machar has taken over as the first Vice President in the alliance since 2021.

The Peace Agreement has brought some stability, but there is pressure due to its implementation and the delay in continuous political challenges.

Clash

The fight has increased in the last 24 hours, which has brought news of the latest clashes between the government military and the opposition fighters in the South Sudan. The situation in the upper blue region also remain unstable.

A few days ago, a militia of the youth, the So -Called White Army, took over the barracks of the South Sudan army, in response to which government forces bombed the citizens area with barrel bombs that used burns.

Virginia Gambao, a special UN representative in the violent conflict, warned that there was a risk of violating children’s lives due to fighting and the rights of sexual violence.

Nicholas Hesim, head of UNMISS, also warned last week that South Sudan was “on the way to the Civil War”. General citizens were attacked rapidly, they were forced to displace the displacement and there was a situation of ethnic tensions.

He cautioned that this violence “will destroy not only the South Sudan but the entire region, which cannot tolerate other war.”

South Sudan currently has a serious human situation, where more than 9 million people need humanitarian assistance and protection. There are also 2 million obstacles.
