The war between the Sudani Armed Forces (SAF) and its former colleague Rapid Cooperation Force (RSF) has now entered the third year.
Last week, the forces associated with RSF attacked the Jamjam and Abu Shaba refugee camps, including the capital of Northern Darfur.
UN spokeswoman Stephanie Tribal on Wednesday said that after the armed parties were placed in the Jamjam camp, reports from the ground were published on horrific brutality.
Alarm
During a regular press conference at the UN headquarters in New York, spokesman Stephanie Trail told reporters, “Normal people are not being allowed to stay anywhere, including humanitarian assistance workers.
He said that there are serious obstacles due to the closing of the road, the fuel deficit and the unstable protection environment.
Also, healthcare and clean water system have been the most affected.
Meanwhile, on Monday, the power structure was damaged due to a drone attack in Khartoum, causing the supply of electricity and clean water to be stalled in large areas of Um Badda, Kari and Omdurman districts.
“We again urge all parties to ensure the protection of citizens and to spread the reach of humanitarian assistance,” said UN spokesman Stephanie Triml.
He also said, “We appeal to the international community that the most needy people in Sudan have to increase their cooperation to reach the necessary assistance.”
In this context, he said that the UN praised the Sudan Conference in London on Tuesday, where a large number of Sudan had been announced.
