The incident was passing through the Syrian Civil War on November 27. Syrian Air Force Detective Service Officers have arrested Syrian-Frees Mazen and Patrick.
Prior to his arrest, Mazen was appointed as a teacher assistant at a French college in Damascus, the Syrian capital. His son Patrick was studying psychology at the University of Damascus.
His family, Oved Dabbag, told the UN office in Geneva that both were imprisoned and tortured for many years. Then, several years after the disappearance, he was declared dead in 2018.
Obeda claimed that both of her relatives were not involved in protests against former president Assad, which government agencies tried to make greater arrest, torture and crush on human rights.
Top UN officials strongly condemned human rights violations.
Obed told the Dabbag Committee that in addition to torture and killing Syrian government machinery, he also promised to give us information about them in exchange for information and a large amount of information.
Fight against
The committee for forcibly missing cases is one of the 10 UN agreement agencies on human rights, which are different from the Human Rights Council.
Obed Dabbag said that the fight was far ahead of his family. “This war is part of a universal invention against punishment for crime and justice. Through this legal action, I do not want to get justice for Mazen and Patrick, but I want to join the global battle against the atrocities governed by the Syrian system. “
Mazen and Patrick’s family tried hard to release them and appealed to international organizations, including Syrian, French and European Unions.
In 20 2016, with the International Federation (FIDH) for human rights, the victim’s family filed a complaint against humanity in the Aloo office in the French capital Paris.
Francan intervention
After this legal action, France’s judicial system launched its investigation and began the process of collecting important evidence. In this process, the testimony of the people left in Syria was also heard.
In March 2021, an order was issued against three senior officials of the Syrian governance system, which was concentrated on allegations of court action against humanity and their involvement in war crimes.
After taking action in France, Ali Mamluk, Jamil Hasan and Abdel Salam Mahmud were convicted in May last year. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for forcibly disappearing, torture, his role, murder and confidence in assets.
International structure
It is the responsibility of the committee to be forced to observe the implementation of the International Agreement in this regard and protect all persons from disappearing. The agreement was passed by the UN General Assembly on December 25 and was applied on December 23.
In order to ban the confidential detainees, the responsibility of the countries that approve of the missing persons, the missing cases will be accepted as a crime and the accountability of the criminals will be fixed.
Many member countries have not yet approved the conference. At the same time, Syria did not even approve the agreement under which the International Criminal Court was established.
Despite the serious human rights violations in Syria, the Protection Council has not yet passed any proposal to bring these issues to the ICC.
Important global contract
‘International Agreement for forcibly disappearing from the missing’ is the first universal human rights system related to the procedures that are legally compulsory.
Earlier, in 1992, the UN Mahasabha passed an advertisement for the protection of all persons from disappearing.
Currently, 77 77 member states are part of this agreement and many provisions reflect international law.
