On Thursday, UNICEF Chief Catherine Rusile said he was shocked at the killing of nine children and four Palestinians, including four women.
These people were waiting for UNICEF’s associate – project Asha, waiting for nutritious complements provided by ‘Project Asha’.
This incident happened in the brave al-Bahah. Five more were injured in the firing, including 4 children. Media reports indicate that these people were casualties due to Israeli attacks.
‘In search of lifeline’
“The killing of families trying to save lives is inhuman,” Catherine Rossile issued a statement.
“These mothers were looking for a lifeline for their kids after a few months of hunger and frustration.”
It included Donia, one of whom Mohammed, one year old, died in the attack. He said that a few hours ago the son said this just before his life.
UNICEF chief said, “Donia is now in the hospital bed, seriously injured in the explosion and holding Mohammed’s small shoes. No parents have to face this national tragedy.”
A ‘cruel reality’
According to UNICEF Chief, “This is a cruel fact that many people are facing today in Gaza, because insufficient assistance material has been reaching the region for months, that is, very low in need. And the parties involved in the war have failed to fulfill the basic responsibilities for the protection of the citizens.”
He said “Lack of assistance material means children are facing starvation and threat of famine is increasing.”
He warned that “the number of malnutrition will continue to increase until the supply of life -saving assistance materials and services are completely resumed.”
He said, “International law is clear: it is the responsibility of all parties involved in war or conflict to protect citizens and ensure the safe and uninterrupted supply of humanitarian assistance.”
“We request Israel to review its rules immediately, to ensure the protection of international human law, especially children, and to conduct a complete and independent inquiry into all the allegations of this incident and all human rights violations.”
Heavy fuel
UN spokesman Stepan Duzarick told reporters in New York that Gaza has a huge fuel, which causes a serious situation raised both population and human assistance.
A UN team was able to supply about 75,000 liters of fuel from Israel on Wednesday. It was the first batch of fuel in the last 130 days.
However, he warned that the fuel was still finishing and if the fuel was not immediately supplied immediately and the services would be closed.
Temporary school
Meanwhile, UN colleagues providing education services have said that 626 temporary educational centers have been established in October 2021 in Gaza.
Of these, 2 lakh 3 thousand students are registered, half of which are girls.
However, due to the current Israeli order, lack of funds and other challenges, only 299 centers were operated at this point.
Help the staff in the hungry stomach too
Spokesperson Stepan Duzarick says human colleagues in Gaza, “have continued to provide food and other assistance in unbearable circumstances and they were forced to be hungry.”
He also said, “Many of our own allies are facing hunger. They too are facing water and their personal protection, such as all the other people in Gaza.”
The spokesperson revisited the UN long -term message that “this horrible situation should end.”
He emphasized that “ceasefire is not only necessary, but also expected for a long time.”
The spokesman also called for all the bandits to be unconditional and immediate release.
