The Protection Council meeting with Dr. Congo crisis, 'immediate violence will be stopped'

In the past few days to control the capital of the DRC’s northern Kivu province, the fight between Rwanda -backed M23 rebel parties and the fight between Congo’s security forces intensified, there has been a serious humanitarian situation.

The DRC’s UN Mission (Manusco) Deputy Chief (Manusco) informed the GOMA representatives of the GOMA about the current development of Vivian Van de Per. He said that immediately, the warning parties need integrated efforts to prevent the fight.

In recent times, there has been a large displacement due to conflict. After the M23 rebel group occupied the Minova region, more than two million people are seeking shelter to save their lives.

More than 34 thousand people have taken shelter around it in the beads and shelters, where there was already a lot of crowds and now the situation is becoming difficult.

UN Mission Officer Vivian Van de Pee said that despite the membership of the Member States at the January 2 January Council meeting, M23 and Rwanda were attacked by Goma, where heavy shelling was done.

Many ordinary citizens were forced to be killed and displaced in these attacks and the local population continued to push deep.

Manusco officials said that the UN mission has an important role in supplying shelter and security services and many people have reached there in search of protection. These include the surrendered officers and armed warriors.

Vivian Van de Pee said that there is no place for ordinary citizens who are looking for such a large number of elements and shelter in the UN mission camp.

“Uruguay Battalion has given shelter to about 1,220 soldiers in Congo, and more than a thousand ordinary citizens have reached there, which has caused severe pressure on wealth.”

Un camp is not safe

Manusco officials said the water tank was damaged, and the UN employees and resources were at risk. “Our camps are not safe. In the last three days, two mortars have been read on Manusco camps and campuses and have been dismissed many times.

Despite the closure of the Goma Airport, Manusco is being sent to another place for better health facilities for treatment with the help of its partner agency.

After the M23 team and the Rwanda military forces controlled Goma International Airport, they are now moving forward in many ways, which has increased the risk for the civilian people.

A large number of displaced, family and prisoners from goma jail are expected to suffer sexual and gender-based violence against women and girls after separation of families and prisoners.

In view of this, a senior UN mission has appealed to all parties to protect ordinary citizens, provide basic services and avoid sexual violence.
