In the city of Danipro, in the central Ukraine, a young mother with her five children got off a train. He only has a small bag. He is fleeing to avoid Russian invasion in the Japorizia region, as well as fleeing from his partner who defeated him so badly that he had abortion.
Its instant treatment help, legal assistance and a safe space for their children. Since 2022, Tatayan, who worked as a psychologist in a mobile team, said, “We saw it at the railway station. We have provided treatment for them and arranged lawyers, so that they can get their documents and other related assistance.
Trauma, increase the stress of mental stress and domestic violence
Tatian’s team is one of the UNFPA’s 87 psychosis teams, which are always ready for emergency assistance. He provides the victims, employment training and legal assistance for a long time.
Even after avoiding violence, these resources have been proven to be very important to the victims, especially in a country where people are fighting three years of war, a wide mental trauma and deep mental crisis.
Three years ago, after full -scale Russian aggression, intimate partners have increased three times the incidence of violence, domestic violence, sexual violence and gender -based violence.
It is assumed that about 24 million people need immediate gender -based violence and feedback services. Most of them are female and girls.
“Even after getting some physical protection in Danipro, many people fight nervous, bad dreams and disappointment signs,” Tatayan says.
About two-thirds of Ukraine are facing families, anxiety, frustration or excess stress, impacting people, looking for employment or taking care of their families.
Financial obstacles, losing employment in large scales, fear of death of loved ones and future attacks are increasing their emotional stress. Births of mental pain without proper advice and care can also affect future generations, causing the community to suffer long -term and widespread damage.
Survival only starts
Roman joined Danipro as a social worker in April 2022 and took care of coordination with social service organizations and public organizations.
He said that he was often the first party to help after police in terms of gender -based violence. “We have designed a helpful action system for human protection and support. We are a kind of ambulance for sexual -based violence.”
These services, especially women, are important for women who do not have stable income or housing. Many women are at risk of economic exploitation or new violence due to war.
Tatayan says, “Many people think that escaped from the initial threat is the end of the story. But the actual treatment begins only when they are physically safe. It is difficult for them to overcome trauma or to stop trauma without psychosis.
In crisis situations, the risk of violence against women and girls increases, including sexual violence related to conflict. Also, the demand for protection and revenge increases rapidly. However, often displaced women are deprived of the social network to seek assistance and if they talk about abuse, they are stigmatized. In this national case, the mobile team is assisting from the police to provide safe accommodation, advice or other necessary intervention by the police.

Why these services are necessary
More than 5 UNFPA’s unique psych-social assistance team has been receiving financial assistance from the US government since 2022.
These groups play an important role in helping the weakest people in Ukraine. Tatayan says, “Urban services work but their impact and access are limited. Therefore, mobile parties become very important, especially during the war, when the crowd of immigrants is widespread in front of us.”
The role of women in Ukraine’s ease, workforce and Broad Society is very important, but they have suffered a lot of pain for many years of war. For a long -term recovery of Ukraine, women need to ensure separate re -rebuilding separately.
Due to the uncertainty with financial support for humanitarian measures around the world, these necessary services are in danger.
Lakh will be influenced by millions of women and girls to affect psychological support, sex-based violence services, safe places and economic power programs. Protection for refugees and threat communities will be reduced.
Healthcare necessary to prevent gender-based violence and reactionary steps, assistance to female-engaged companies and women’s economic energy programs are at risk of being shut down.
It can create a serious crisis for the protection and welfare of millions of people.
