The move was raised by the United Nations General Assembly in March 2021, passing the International Islamophobia Day – in harmony with a proposal called ‘Islamophobia to deal with’.
The proposal claimed that a special messenger should be taken in this direction with the appointment of a special messenger.
The statement issued by the General Secretary’s spokesperson’s office said that Maraotinos would continue to its current position as a high representative of the UN civilization (UNAC), and the responsibilities of these new roles would be integrated with the current structure.

In 2002, he promoted food security evenings with Global Drandland Coalition (GDA) in Qatar.
Mortinos has studied law and political science from Madrid’s Communication University and received diplomatic training from Spanish diplomatic school.
