UNAIDS: Deep money discount, fight against HIV and risk millions of life

The UN Agency (UNAIDS), who is dedicated to the end of HIV/AIDS, released a new report on Thursday, which shows that countries do not make major changes to HIV programs and financial support, the progress of the past few decades may be stigmatized.

According to the report, this health challenge has had a serious impact on this health challenge because of the sudden large cut of international donors.

In the health system, programs have been closed for disease prevention, the risk of medical services and health workers have been cut off. Through community services, it is helping to ensure assistance for the marginalized population, but now it is in crisis.

More than 3,000 health workers were affected by Mozambi. In Nigeria, the atmosphere of infection has had an impact on providing prevention of people. Each month, this number has reached 40,000 to six thousand.

According to UNAIDS, if the US -backed HIV subscription and resistance services are fully folded, there is a possibility of additional million5 million new infections and AIDS causes in 2021 to 2021 may cause an additional 1 million deaths.

Winnie Bianima, executive director of the UN agency, says she has seen overnight services disappearing. Health workers have been sent home. And people are being excluded from the circumference of care services.

Crisis on important services

Even before this disruption in healthcare due to money discounts, more than 90 million people living in the state of HIV have not provided life -efficient treatment services in 2024.

Also there were 6.25 million children aged 6-7, who were HIV but did not have access to medical services. In 2024, 75 thousand died in children due to AIDS related.

In 2021, 6.5 million people died due to AIDS related to AIDS, of which 1 percent of the percent was in sub-Sahara Africa. 2.5 lakh teenage girls and young women in the age group of 8-20 are at risk of HIV infection, which is an average of 805 new infections per day.

In addition to the impact on HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services due to financial decrease, new challenges have also arisen. This national law is being adopted where criminals are being created for homosexual relations, gender identity and drug use and this is becoming difficult to provide HIV services.

According to the UN agency, Uganda, Mali and Trinidad and Tobago have recently changed their criminal laws ‘discriminatory and harmful’ in their criminal law, which noticed some special population.

Because of this, these groups are out of care and they are again under the threat of HIV.

Application for support

The UNAIDS report clearly states that no country can rely on its domestic resources in the global fight against HIV.

In order to meet the gap between financial support, to provide assistance to countries of the international community, remove legal and social barriers and empower the communities.

The UN agency mentions that every dollar invested in HIV prevention and treatment efforts can not only protect life, but can strengthen the health systems and achieve greater development goals.

UNAIDS points out that from the beginning of the epidemic to the treatment of 2.69 billion billions has been suspended through the treatment of death, 1 million children are protected from infection.

“At the moment of the crisis, the executive director Bayanima said, the world has to be accepted instead of back.”
