In his speech during the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Friday, the Prime Minister of Israel said that he came here with the intention of speaking for his people, his country and the truth. He said Israel has been trying to establish peace for years.
“We are facing enemies who want to destroy us, and we must protect ourselves from these barbaric killers who want not only to destroy us, but also to destroy our common civilization and destroy us all in the dark chapter of tyranny and terror.”
Prime Minister Netanyahu recalled his speech in the general debate last year, in which he said Israel faced the same eternal choice that Moses presented to his people thousands of years ago.
“The actions we take will determine what we pass on to our future generations, a blessing or a curse.”
“And today we face this choice. He said it was either the curse of Iran’s continued aggression or the blessing of the historic union between Arabs and Jews.
Prime Minister Netanyahu said an agreement was reached to normalize relations between Saudi Arabia and Israel by moving forward on the path of blessing.
But then there was the curse of October 7, when thousands of Iran-backed Hamas extremists invaded Israel and committed unimaginable atrocities.
He said 1,200 people, including children, were brutally killed. Sexual violence was committed against women and 251 people from different countries were taken hostage.
“These scenes are reminiscent of Nazi genocide.”
