New Delhi. The Indian government on Saturday presented its stand and responded to America regarding blacklisting of Indian companies by America. India said that it fully follows the rules made by the United Nations Security Council. It is noteworthy that America has imposed sanctions on 19 Indian companies accusing them of providing defense related goods to Russia.
India presented its stand on these on Saturday. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said- We have seen reports of American sanctions on Indian companies. We effectively implement the rules of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) in matters related to defense exports. Giving clean chit to Indian companies, Randhir Jaiswal said- 19 companies have not violated any Indian law. He said- We are working with all the concerned departments and agencies to make the companies aware about the export rules.
It is noteworthy that apart from India, America has banned 398 companies from more than a dozen countries like Russia, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey and United Arab Emirates. America alleges that these companies have been providing defense equipment to Russia since the attack on Ukraine in February 2022, which Russia is using in the war. Most of these companies are suppliers of electronic components, while some companies also supply aircraft parts, machine tools, etc.
In this matter, America has issued a statement saying that its Foreign, Finance and Commerce Department has imposed these sanctions. The US State Department has also imposed diplomatic sanctions on several senior officials of the Russian Defense Ministry and defense companies. According to him, the purpose of this ban is to punish third party countries.
