Cartridges found in Air India plane

New Delhi. A new development has taken place amidst the threats to bomb Indian aviation companies. Information about cartridges being found in an Air India flight coming from Dubai to Delhi has come to light on Saturday, November 2. The incident is said to have taken place on 27th October. An airline spokesperson said, when flight AI 916 landed at Delhi airport, a cartridge was found in the pocket of one of its seats. After this, after all the passengers were safely disembarked, the company lodged a complaint.

The incident of recovery of cartridges has happened at a time when fake bomb threats have been going on in Indian aviation companies for more than two weeks. On Saturday, a bomb threat was received on an Indian Airlines flight from Kathmandu to New Delhi. It is noteworthy that within 16 days between October 14 and 29, more than five hundred flights have received bomb threats. During investigation, all these were found to be fake. However, due to such fake threats, aviation companies suffered losses worth hundreds of crores of rupees.

Jagdish Uike, an accused in the case of threatening to plant bombs in planes, has been arrested from Gondia, Maharashtra. Nagpur Police had said on Friday that he was sent a notice to appear for investigation, after which he surrendered on October 31. On October 29, the police had identified him in connection with the bomb threat issue on planes. Earlier, on October 26, Delhi Police had also arrested 25-year-old Shubham Upadhyay. On October 25, he had posted two false bomb threats on an aircraft at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
