Time is running out
Drawing attention to the climate crisis, he issued a warning saying that we have just seen a decade of extreme heat. “The 10 warmest years on record occurred within the last 10 years, including 2024. It’s climate chaos — for real.”

The UN chief said he sees developing countries struggling for financial and climate justice and hopes for new discoveries for humanity in scientists and innovators.
“I saw hope in September, when world leaders came together to pass a future treaty that gives new energy to peacemaking through disarmament and deterrence.”
The agreement aims to reform the global financial system, create greater opportunities for women and youth, create protections for technologies that serve citizens rather than profits, and prioritize algorithms over rights.
A united nation
He said, we must always stick to the values and principles of human rights, international law and the UN Charter.
According to the UN chief, no guarantees can be made about what will happen in 2025.
