It has been said that the situation is worse for the people who have returned home due to violence in Sudan. At the destructive level, they are about 50 percent of the total number of fought with hunger.
In South Sudan, communities are already living in a subtle situation and the arrival of more than 1 million displaced resources has intense pressure and relief efforts have been damaged. This crisis is expected to deepen more in the coming days.
In view of this, the UN Food Organization (WFP) has applied for donors to enhance their support, so that people can avoid destruction.
Year’s instability
South Sudan gained independence from Sudan in the 21st, but since then it has been fighting conflict and turmoil.
In the 21st, the Civil War was raised among the loyal military forces of President Salva Kir and supporters of former Vice President Rick Machar. After many years of nation violence, collective atrocities and humanitarian crisis, a peace agreement agreed in the fragile situation in 2018.
However, in the end of last month, the opposition leader and the first vice president, Rick Machar, were reported in the attack on the opposition military and ordinary citizens, which is likely to cause the civil war again in the country.
Violent conflict, disease
The current crisis is not limited to not getting enough food to the local people. There is an outbreak of cholera infection in the upper blue province of the country. The UN agency has released 35 mate relief material by air for the damaged region.
The United Nations partnership has been divided into five categories under integrated food security phase classification (IPC) in the protection of united food around the world.
These include the fourth episode, emergency and fifth episode, destructive or famine.
The target of the WFP is to provide up to more than four and a half million people in the affected area, mainly for the population to fight food insecurity at an urgent and destructive level.
However, due to the fight, the help of the obstacles in the face of assistance and the distribution of food due to the fight and insecurity in six cases has also been stopped.
The woman on the couple
Local women and girls suffer from violent conflict opportunities and deepening the hunger crisis. Due to the unsafe situation, many women have been forced to escape their lives.
In difficult situations, women are forced to be sex workers and they are at risk of smuggling and sexual abuse in search of work, food and water.
In view of this, the United Nations Agency (UNFPA) has provided safe centers for sexual and reproductive health, where women are not only shelter, but also important information about consulting services, skills development training and gender-based violence prevention.
However, due to financial support, at least two centers may be forced to close in May, which will end this support for thousands of women and girls.
UNFPA has issued a $ 88 million appeal to continue life -efficient service, but no special support is currently available.
